Progress Note:  We just completed a weekend gaming and development session the result of which is a new version of Cold Steel and a set of "Table Charts".  The Table Charts provide players with a quick reference to the game mechanics during play.  We found they saved us time and allowed new players to pick up the basics of the game quickly.  10/27/06

Progress Note:  The final edit of Cold Steel is done!  Version 1.0 is now available for download.  There are only a few minor changes from the previous version.  12/06/06

Progress Note:  We've had a chance to go over our October '06 play test notes and have put together the second module for Cold Steel.  Entitled Conflict in the 18th Century it's a list of rules modifications to the basic Cold Steel set.  We've also posted table charts to go with the 18th Century module.  Down load both if you wish to give this period a try.  01/10/07

Progress Note:  The first version of the Cold Steel Game Aid is now on the Downloads page.  This program, written in Microsoft Access, is intended to speed up game play by helping players determine the results of small arms fire, morale checks and movement penalties.  The program comes in two varieties.  A full install for users that don't have MS Access 2003 installed on their computer and a files only version that contains the Access database and help files.  Both versions are free on the Downloads page.  01/26/07

Progress Note:  As a result of a game held in January, we've cut the amount of disorder units receive in half.  Disorder was aquired too fast and remove too slowly to allow even Hardned units to accurately simulate historical events.  With a 50% reduction disorder will still be a factor but it won't be the only factor.  Updated versions of all Cold Steel rules and the Cold Steel Game Aid have been posted to the downloads page.
